Owning the Funnel: Building Visibility Before the Hotel Search Begins

Visibility First
To help The Pinch stand out against OTAs and win more direct bookings, Gourmet Marketing launched Explore Charleston, powered by our proprietary Explore Hub platform. This digital travel guide lives on the hotel’s website and showcases nearby attractions, restaurants, shops, and essentials — turning location into a competitive advantage.
Explore Charleston serves three purposes:
First, it acts as an amenity for guests, helping them plan their stay with ease. Second, it works as a sales tool by showing how close the hotel is to everything visitors want to do. Third, and most importantly, it fuels long-term SEO growth.

Strategic SEO Engine
We built individual landing pages for each location, optimized around high-intent keywords people search while planning a trip to Charleston — before they start looking for hotels. These top-of-funnel pages, combined with supporting content like “Things to Do in Charleston” and “Getting Around,” position The Pinch as a trusted local authority.
The goal: capture traffic earlier in the planning journey, reduce reliance on ads, and improve rankings across both travel and hotel-related search terms — all while reinforcing the brand at every step.
What our client is saying
