Hiroki-san is an immersive Japanese dining concept located within Detroit’s historic Book Tower, offering a refined culinary experience rooted in tradition, technique, and precision.
Led by Executive Chef Hiroki Fujiyama, the restaurant builds on a legacy of excellence established in Philadelphia, where the original concept gained recognition for its meticulous approach to Japanese cuisine. Drawing on years of experience under renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto, the brand emphasizes craftsmanship, seasonality, and attention to detail in every element of the dining experience.
At its core, Hiroki-san delivers an omakase-driven offering, where guests entrust the chef to curate a multi-course journey using premium ingredients, many of which are sourced directly from Japan. The experience is designed to be both intimate and immersive, blending culinary artistry with the Japanese philosophy of omotenashi, a service approach centered on anticipation, harmony, and care.
Positioned within a restored architectural landmark and surrounded by Detroit’s evolving cultural scene, Hiroki-san represents a new level of fine dining within the city. As a concept defined by precision, atmosphere, and storytelling, it required a digital presence that could capture its depth, communicate its experience clearly, and support high-intent reservations.
Partnership
Hiroki-san engaged Gourmet Marketing to design and develop a digital experience that reflects the precision, artistry, and immersive nature of its omakase concept within a competitive fine dining landscape.
As a hospitality-specialized digital marketing agency, we approached the project with a focus on translating the restaurant’s layered experience into a refined, high-performing digital platform. Our work centered on website design and development, ensuring the brand’s positioning as an elevated, reservation-driven dining destination was clearly communicated.
We structured the site architecture to support a seamless user journey, allowing guests to explore the concept, menu, and atmosphere while guiding them toward reservation actions with clarity and ease. Visual storytelling played a central role, capturing the craftsmanship, ingredients, and ambiance that define the Hiroki-san experience.
We made it easy to move around the site, so users can quickly find information about the concept, menu, and atmosphere, while also making it simple to make reservations.
The result is a refined digital platform that elevates Hiroki-san’s presence online, strengthens its positioning within Detroit’s fine dining scene, and supports consistent, high-intent reservation demand.
