Since the beginning of COVID-19, Dunkin’ has been supporting those on the front lines including community-based health and hunger relief organizations. In mid-March, its Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation announced that it was giving $1.25 million in emergency funding to help families during the crisis.

These grants are funding emergency food boxes and meal kits for families, backpacks for children displaced from school, and food and water for families in shelters.

Last week, Dunkin’ announced that the $1.25 million has been granted to the health and hunger relief organizations around the country. So far, Dunkin’ has delivered 10,000 cups of coffee and 20,000 baked goods to healthcare workers, according to QSR Magazine, and will continue to serve those in need during these times.

Delivering to healthcare workers on the front lines

With the help of the funding from the Foundation, Dunkin’ is sending food trucks and making deliveries to hospitals and emergency sites across the country.

Care packages are being delivered to healthcare workers across the country, as well. According to QSR, Dunkin’ has “donated 8,000 pounds of Dunkin’ packaged coffee, 3,700 boxes of Keurig K-Cup pods, and nearly 40,000 Dunkin’ gift cards in care packages distributed to 170 hospitals, first responders, and food banks across the country.”

A ‘Thank You’ Dunkin’ eGift card

In a continued effort to support healthcare professionals on the front lines, Dunkin’ has also set up an eGift card site for guests to send healthcare heroes a Dunkin’ gift card as a token of appreciation.

So far, Dunkin’ has delivered over 40,000 gift cards to medical workers at 157 hospitals throughout the country. For every gift card purchased, Dunkin’ will donate $1 up to $100K to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s COVID-19 relief fund, according to their Instagram.
